Another Spring Ski Day!

Evan, Dave, Dar, Chandler and Abbey hit the slopes for a sweet day of skiing at the beach! It was quite warm, but hey, the snow was there and it was begging to be skiied on! Abbey was skiied with them for awhile and then got the hook up from Pepa with a ski lesson from Colleen. Abbey was near Picabo skill level by the time she was done!

So, Mom and Dad took Chandler and Abbey with them on the private plane to SLC on March 13. The kids stayed the week with miscellaneous Aunts and Cousins...then, the day before Ev and I drive up with the other 2 kids, Mom and Dad leave for a meeting in CA. Well...I'll let Dad's email explain, " We are at the Hotel in Pismo Beach, CA. While I work she (mom) is hanging out at the spa. I love her soo much. We don’t miss anybody. Sorry." Attached to that email, are a few pictures. Mom didn't want us to post the picture of her in a silky robe, but the rest are "Mom Approved." They stayed an extra 2 days over Easter Weekend and were left to fend for ourselves! Thanks to my sister, Melissa, for inviting us over for dinner on Easter!

One of the other things Mom and Dad were doing in CA was reminiscing...they visited the house where we kids grew up in Santa Ynez. After seeing these pictures, there was a lot of "oh, do you remember....". So, I guess it was OK that our parents were acting like teenagers...we got some good pics out of their trip. But next time Dad and Mom....you are GROUNDED! Do I need to get out my Chineese Handcuffs?? ;)

What to do in Park City....

while Dad is in Colorado? You go outside to sled in your jeans and tennis shoes! Who needs snow pants and boots?? Not the Johnson Kids! Must be that good 'ole Idaho blood... thanks Grandpa Gene! My parents snapped a few pics from inside the house...pretty cute, I must say. Just glad Evan wasn't around to witness this...he must have told them a million times to NOT go outside without boots/ski clothes on...oh well! Hey, at least Chase's slip on shoes were actually ON his feet! Right, Ev?(But, in the last pic you'll notice he isn't wearing socks...so Chase!)

Spring Break Begins!

The start of Spring Break means that SUMMER is right around the corner! I can't wait! Lazy days, here we come! But, in the meantime, it's time to take time off of school and the craziness of daily life!

The week before the "official" Spring Break began, Chandler and Abbey were flown on a private jet from Denver to SLC. They were able to meet and spend time with Mohammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Thanks to Dad, they were given a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Here is a link to see Dr. Yunus in Denver. My sister, Cindy, and her friend Dallin are in the video. I think my dad makes an appearance too!

My First Spring Flowers!!

Ok, so not many people would be excited about a flower....BUT I AM!! I planted a bag full of Home Depot bulbs just to see if I could grow something. After this last snow I started to wonder if there were any little green sprigs coming up through the dirt below. It was just a passing thought...but then I was outside with one of my friends and this little growth caught my eye! What a moment! I finally planted something that grew! Anyway, I thought I'd share my first little success!

SKI DAY!

What a great day at Copper! When everyone else was in school the Johnson kids (Chandler and Abbey) got a SKI DAY with Dad! Abbey took all day lessons and Chandler got one on one time with our resident expert...EVAN! Then, at the end of the day, the 3Johnsonz got together to do one last run...Gotta love living in Colorado!
