Evan's Moment...Marathon #2

Family "Carbo Load" before the big race...while Ev, Spencer, April and Maria were fueling their bodies, the rest of us were just packing on the calories... Yes, Abbey is crazy...
Just happy to be eating...and NO, those three bowls were not mine...
Hello! I know all of you peeps out there want this pic as your background...owww,baby!
After the race...Until 2009!

Thank you again to Evan's sisters, Maria and April, for taking such awesome pictures of last weekend. I felt that it wasn't fair for me to post about a meazy 5k when my sweetie ran an entire MARATHON! If you want to see pics of Evan crossing the finish line (and other super HOT pics of my hubby...ahem, that's for your Brandon) then go to http://www.marathonfoto.com/ and choose SLC Marathon 2008, enter Johnson, and bib number 1195. Feel free to purchase a poster size pic....haha.

Life of a Boy Scout...

Jacob, Chandler and Noah making pancakes for the Troop
"Thanks, Dad, for letting me use your warm coat..."
"If Mom hadn't packed my coat, I'd be a Chase-sicle by now..."
Evan went up with Chandler and Chase to their campout last night and has been sending me pictures...Makes me cold just looking at them! It has been in the 60's down here on the Plains, but I guess up in the Foothills, its still winter! HAHAHAHA...so glad I am a girl. My huband is the best, though. He is such a trooper and always willing to volunteer to do his part in the YM program. He won't have much of a weekend with this campout, a Daddy Daughter activity, adult session of Stake Conference and EQ visits...but he'll do it all AND probably organize a room or two at the same time...Gotta love him!

Tami and Chan...Run 5k..."Check"

Angie, Cindy Lou Who, and Tami at our 6:30am check in time
Uncle HY and Chan...twinners!
SLC 5k Start Line...very exciting!
Tami and the girls at the Race Expo...my little ladies snagged every free item they could find!

Cindy, Spidey and Chandler...Yeah, we wondered the same thing.... ;)
Thanks to my sister Angela for all of the great pictures! What a blast! Chan and I ran our first 5k...and yes, he whipped me by about 3 minutes. STINKER! Left his mom in the dust. At least there was someone there to cheer me across the finish line. Time for new goals and new distances...Thank you to Evan for signing me up for the Boulder Bolder 10k on May 26. I'll let you know how that one goes!

Beautiful Colorado Day!

Amelia was trying very hard to help little cousin SJ...but being the baby, she doesn't quite know what to do.
Yeah, Spencer is going to run a marathon on Saturday...He must be invincible! ;)
Sweet Meeza on her bike...

It was a gorgeous day here in Colorado! We've all caught SPRING FEVER! Sparkling blue skies, gentle breezes and warm sunshine...you just can't ask for anything more in life! Evan's sister Maria, his brother, Spencer and his wife Leah and little SJ went with Amelia and me to the park next to our house. About 3/4 of the way through our little outing, I realized that it would be a perfect opportunity for pictures...yes, I know...I'm still not a true blogger at heart just yet. I got a couple of pics on my phone...

My Fair Lady

Teresa was quietly eating her food when I said, "Hey Teresa! Smile"
Amy was all ready for me by the time it was her turn! (Sarah wasn't sitting down yet)
K, so they were all blurry...they were moving! Well, except for President Valentine...perfect picture!
So, we're in 7-11 and Teresa is using her debit card...she says, "Do I want money back?" I think the little device was getting the best of her...she's a new mom, we'll give her a break!

Yeah, so I didn't bring my camera. I hardly got my pants on with reapplied makeup when my doorbell rang...so, I just had my phone which takes really bad pictures...ANYWAY...Sarah (Valentine), Amy (Herbert), Teresa (Reiwerts) and I went to see My Fair Lady downtown last Tuesday night. IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT! Yes, we were late getting to the restaurant, so we went with Plan B....BD's Mongolian BBQ! YUMM-O! And then, yes, we were late getting to the play. So, we ran about a mile to the theater...Amy and I were close to tasting BD's twice when we finally got there. PHEW! The play was fantastic! The girl that played Eliza was from the UK so it was very authentic sounding. My favorite was Professor Higgins...he was great! After sitting for 2 hours and 55 min, we were craving dessert! Not many choices at 11:30pm on a Tues night, so we swung into 7-11 for some hot chocolate. We were "this close" to dropping into a pumpin' night club...but then we realized we were in our 30's, married, with 12 kids between us...DARN! Thanks to Amy for getting the tickets and forcing us to take a Girl's Night Out! And thanks to the 4 hubby's that held down the forts while we were gone!

You Know Its A Good Day When...

You can spend it with good friends and have ice cream!! On our last day in SLC, we met Sarah (Valentine) and her sisters at Liberty Park for lunch. Then we went to the Conf Center downtown where her mom took us on a tour! It was nuts because I think we had almost 20 kids and 4 strollers...I had a good time, though! Afterward, the kids and I went with my sister, Angela, to Leatherby's. We endured some healthy sandwiches so we could have dessert. And OHHHH! It was so worth the wait! We had chocolate peanut butter ice cream with marshmallow creme topping, Mint Chocolate ice cream with hot fudge topping and Vanilla ice cream with caramel topping...WHOA BABY!
