Oh, yes...POOL TIME AGAIN! The Reunion Pool opened at Noon on Friday, May 23rd. We were SOO there! Unfortunately, gone were the 80s that we enjoyed for a few weeks...we welcomed in severe weather and a 30 degree drop in temperature. But, the kids soldiered on!

Good Bye School, Hello Pool!
HELLO SUMMER! The kids were released from their 8-4 bondage (aka school) on Friday, May 23. What a great year they had! Each one of them had great grades, made new friends and have lots of memories from the 2007-2008 school year. But thank heavens it's over! No more waking up at the crack of dawn to catch the bus and no more late evenings of homework! WAHOO!! (Can you tell who is more excited to be free of school? ME!)
I wanted to say THANK YOU to the awesome teachers the kids had...Ms. Carter-Amelia's teacher, Ms. Huston-Abbey's teacher, Ms.Lindemann-Chandler's homeroom teacher, and Mr.Knight and Ms.Humphry-Chase's teachers. We will miss them and hope for good ones next year.

Bolder Boulder 10k
Well since Tami hasn't jumped on posting news of our Memorial Day 10k race, I will do it! Tami and I woke up at 4:50am to make our way to Boulder for the 30th annual 10k race. More than 50,000 people run the race www.bolderboulder.com each year. This is the third year that I have run it and I decided to sign Tami up and let her find out she was running in it from the registration email she would receive - HAHAHA!! We arrived in Boulder at the start line around 6:30am. The race started at 7:00am, my wave started at 7:02am and Tami's started at 7:34am
I had an excellent run and ended with a time of 44:47 which was a personal best for me and 3 minutes better than my last 10k race. I waited at the finish line for Tami and wondered what kind of reaction I would get from her as she came across - well she had a smile on her face and gave me the thumbs up when I saw her! I was so proud of her! The farthest she had ever run was 4 miles, so for her this was a huge accomplishment and she ran the entire time. She kept telling me that she was going to have to walk, but that was not the case. She is gearin up for her next goal - a half marathon in August. I am slowly getting her into my psychotic world of running! Unfortunately we have no pics of the race, but if we get our hands on any I will post them. Live to Run, Run to Live!!

Landmark Spring Music Concert
Yep, its time for another music program! We are lucky this time because the three younger kids were able to perform on the same night...PHEW! I, again, was sitting toward the back because I show up when they tell me to...not an hour earlier to stand in line and be the first one rushing to the front...sorry kids. Anyway, these pics aren't exciting, but they give you an idea of how the night looked.

The baby isn't a baby anymore...

Well, #11 has proven that the best was saved for last....Little Dindy went to her Senior Prom on Saturday night. Evan was able to be there to see her! Her date is one of my kids' favorite people, Dallin. My mom sent a link for these "before" shots taken in my parents front yard. A beautiful setting for some beautiful pictures...I couldn't help wanting to post them. Doesn't she look radiant?
I have a link to her "un-updated" blog, but from the few things she has written, you can tell that she is amazing! I am so proud to call her my sister. I can't believe that she is graduating from high school and going off to SUU in a few short months...My, how time flies...Love you Cindy Lori!

I'm leaving on a jet plane....
and then riding in a stretch limo, stuffing my face with any food that I desire, watching the Jazz beat Houston from a private box seat and sending pictures to taunt my wife who was ditched at home....
Oh, yes! Evan (and lucky dog Chase!) left last night for SLC. And courtesy of my Dad, the boys were picked up in a limo and driven to the Jazz Play Off Game. They were sitting a few boxes over from the Prophet! Talk about spoiled and happy...my men deserve a relaxing weekend away! THANKS DAD!
Just when you think the story is over...well, NOOOOO....Evan sent another picture from the Cookie Chaser 5k (I think it benefits the Girl Scouts...). He ran it in 20:38. HOLY SMOKE 'EM! He got FIRST PLACE in his age group (I'm sure that wasn't hard...guys his age use wheelchairs...HAHA) WAY TO GO EVAN! He also said that my younger sisters, Kristy and Cindy, each placed in their age group too! And from what Angela says, she's a runner now too! WAHOO ANG! Check out Ang's blog for "her side of the story!" Kristy has a few good pics of Evan on her blog too. So, its been an exciting morning there in UTAH.
I am sad that I missed it...guess I'll have to hit the mall for some Retail Therapy...See ya! ;)
