Hannah Montana in 3D!! Cindy Joins the Party!!

Welcome #11! We put Cindy right to work! We picked her up at the airport, drug her through WalMart, stuck the glasses on her and then forced her to watch the premiere of Hannah Montana in concert...in 3D no less! It's a good thing she came to visit or I would have been in the "Freeze Dance" competition instead! See video below...

We also wanted to thank Cindy for teaching the girls her "signature" move. Looks like its catching on here in Colorado!

It's Really Going to Happen!! Welcome Reunion Ward Bldg!

The plaque that is on Chan's Ground Breaking Shovel...the one he will bring to his mission farewell at our building! :)
Although you can't see them clearly, you get the idea of how beautiful our building is going to be! I also heard that we're gonna get a fast food place on the corner, too! Brings back memories of the Denton TX building where I attended church...right next door to a Whataburger! Builds character, right?
President William Rose, Stake President Denver North Stake
In order from R to L: Pres. Rose, Pres. Young (coun), a man who just returned from being Mission Pres in the Baltic, Bishop Hammond, Andrea Hansen (YW), Bishop Horstman, Bro. Carlson (family helped get the land), our Bishop (Bishop Bennett), Chan the Man, Brad Wolfersberger (Primary child).

It's OFFICIAL! We are getting our own ward building! After more than 4 years of waiting, we attended the ground breaking for our building! What a beautiful day! President Rose said that if all goes well, we should hold our first meeting in June 2009!! He also said that the Denver North Stake is the largest in the region (North America Central?) with over 5000 members! And because of our faithful payment of tithing, the building will be paid off by the time we move in...
Chandler was asked to be one of representatives from our ward to help turn over some dirt! He got to keep the shovel which has the Ground Breaking plaque attached. Very cool! He was so excited to hear his name announced in front of the crowd. He handled the responsibility like a real man. I am proud of him. We'll keep you posted on the progress!!

More Funny Old Pictures! Feel Free to Make Fun...

Our Wedding Day! November 1992. I probably used that entire can of hairspray that morning, too! Gotta love the 90's!
Evan and his best friend, January 1993. They thought that Baretta was the COOLEST car ever made...HAHA! I love Evan's hair and the loafers with no socks....yes, I am laughing...
Baby Chase (and Mr. Bear) June 1996. You should see that Bear now...he is a much loved member of the family. Chase still has him on his bed! Cute, huh?

I am on a ROLL!! I will be posting old pictures for the next week! Seems like all of our friends here in CO love the picture of Evan with hair! He has been shaving it off for many years, so that scene is new to them! I found a BIG BOX of old pictures, so I will post the best ones...I'm just having fun, hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

What was once old, is new again!

My little crew after Amelia was born in 2002. They were SO LITTLE! Makes me wonder how I got from there to here! Time has gone by so fast...
Three generations, May 1997. Grandpa was holding Chandler as a few week old newborn. I'm sure that I looked as young as Evan did...crazy!
Our first family picture, Christmas 1995. Our Texas friends will recognize this one! Yes, I had straight hair and Evan HAD hair! We were such babies ourselves...

My Sweet Amelia in June 2002. At one appointment, her doctor thought I burned her arm but I swore it was because she sucked on it...then I snapped this picture to prove it!

Not quite sure how I got this assignment, but I think it was Evan's fault. :) We moved the office from the basement to Channy's old room upstairs. I happened to find two very large envelopes filled with misc. pictures from days gone by...I have to admit that I got a little weepy this morning as I was looking through them. But, I told Evan that I would scan them all in instead of leaving them in these envelopes.

I have lots of friends who are about 5-7 years behind me in their "stage of life." Unfortunatly, I didn't know most of them back then so they have only seen me with older kids that babysit, go to the Rec Center on their bikes, and basically take care of themselves! So, here is proof that I was once there, too! I keep finding more pictures, so I will add them later.

Summer Vacation...Adventure #4 Happy Bday America!

The crew at the Stadium waiting for the gazillion dollar fireworks show!
Zach, Amelia and Abbey...and the "Fountain"
Mr. Hottie Marathon Man
Sierra, Amelia and Abbey...with their "Woot Beers"

Thank you, Valentines, for taking pity on us again! Our only family that lives close by (in WY) just had baby #2, so we were all alone this year for July 4th. What would we do without our friends?? We love their family so it was easy to have fun. Dinner was scrumptious, the company was a hoot and the fireworks at the soccer stadium...SPECTACULAR! Not only do we love summer, but this holiday is one of our favorites. Who can complain when we are covered in BBQ, drippy summertime desserts, enjoying time with friends and feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin? Ahhh....Summer! (I just calculated today...we are officially 5 weeks and 2 days from the start of school...SO SAD!)
(Here is the Finale of the fireworks show we went to see. You can hear Travis' Mom and her excitement! I think she even breaks into a short version of the National Anthem (that's when I start to giggle)! Oh, and Amelia yelled at Evan..."Daddy, these are beautiful!")

Summer Vacation...Adventure #3 (con't)

Thank you, Eric, for this AWESOME pic of my boys...minus Chasers.
Chandler, Ryan, Amelia, Zach, Jacob and Hannah...on top of the world!
Evan with Amelia (and Bekka) on the Mt. Cutter trail.

Here are a few more pics from our camping trip. They have been trickling in slowly but surely!
